Amy Holbert

Amy Holbert, MSW, LISW-CP is a licensed, clinical social worker with more than twenty-five years of experience working in maternal child health. Currently, she is the Chief Executive Officer of Family Connection of South Carolina, a statewide nonprofit organization connecting families who have a child with a disability or chronic health condition to support, resources, training, and services they need to improve the health, education, and wellbeing of their children and family. Amy’s background in public health includes working with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control’s Maternal Child Health Bureau as Director of Social Work for the Division of Children with Special Healthcare Needs. Amy provided guidance over the perinatal regionalized system to ensure our state has risk-appropriate care for pregnant women and infants. Amy has served as the Governor’s appointee on South Carolina’s Interagency Coordinating Council and served as Co-Chair of SC’s Advisory Council for Educating Students with Disabilities. She is a member of the Children’s Justice Act Task Force, to improve the identification of children in foster care who have a disability and assists in the professional development of DSS staff. Amy served as the SC ambassador for the aRPy Initiative--a unique partnership between the Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center (ECTA) at the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute. She is a graduate of the Riley Institute’s Diversity Leaders Initiative at Furman University. Amy has served as the CEO of Family Connection since 2014. Unlimited
