A South Carolina native, Clay graduated from the University of Chapel Hill in North Carolina in 2006 with a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology and has been practicing speech therapy since. He lives in Mount Pleasant with his wife Lisa, and their three children, Denver, Kase, and Emma. He currently teaches Augmentative and Alternative Communication at the Medical University of South Carolina, owns a private practice-Ready, Set, Talk-in Mount Pleasant, SC, and is the creator of Mister Clay on YouTube, a channel for children with language differences.
