Dr. Liz Fuemmeler is a vestibular and concussion audiologist at Hearing and Balance Specialists of Kansas City. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of vestibular and balance disorders, especially following a head injury or concussion. Her concussion protocol is based on her residency in Mayo Clinic's Return to Play clinic, where she focused on finding objective, physiologic evidence to identify the presence and extent of vestibular issues following a concussion. This evidence played a critical role in ensuring concussions were properly diagnosed and athletes were not returning to their sport prematurely.
