Shannon Evers graduated from Winthrop University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, and from Clemson University in 2017 with a Master of Science in Food, Nutrition and Culinary Sciences. Then went on to complete an Accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics at Iowa State University in 2018 and acquired a second Master of Science in Professional Practice in Dietetics completed in 2020. Currently holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as well as Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist in the State of South Carolina. Shannon began working with Upstate Nutrition Consultants in 2018 as a Consulting Dietitian for Long Term/ Post-Acute Care facilities and Newberry Memorial Hospital. Shannon joined Prisma Health in 2020 as a Registered Dietitian for Oncology Patients and focuses on Head and Neck and Esophageal, Lung and Bone Marrow Transplant patients. She helps provide medical nutrition therapy for preparation, throughout and post cancer treatment of chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. Provides guidance, further understanding, titration on to, weaning off of and enteral nutrition recommendation for gastronomy and jejunostomy tube. When not at work, Shannon relaxes at home with her family which include 2 golden retrievers and an orange tabby cat.
